Never mind settling down and finding a boyfriend, life’s too unpredictable even for a good hook-up. Moving into his latest place, he expects the oppressive summer heat to be the only change, but that doesn’t count on the five college bros next door.
With high energy and low boundaries, they’re determined to make a friend of their reserved new neighbor. Holding them – and his libido – at bay is impossible, leaving Ezra terrified of the potential consequences should they find out he’s gay. But when exhibitionist Corey decides game night is the perfect – and public – opportunity to get off, Ezra’s resistance flounders.
It’s not just Corey, though, who’s incorrigible: the other guys claim they’re no longer surprised by their housemate’s eagerness to get naked, but all four have secrets they’re unexpectedly keen to share with Ezra. Problem is, Ezra has a lifetime’s practice avoiding making connections he fears losing. He’s torn between self-preservation and succumbing to the sexual advances of twenty-year-old jocks whose intentions are far more than simply neighborly.
You can’t run away forever, though. When Ezra’s painful past arrives on his doorstep, it’s a test of his new friendships, not to mention whether he dares take the opportunities right in front of him.
