One of the most common questions I get from readers is “Hey Alex, which book should I start with?”
My answer mainly depends on whether you fall at the “romance” end of the spectrum, or the “erotica” end. By general assent, romance novels have a HEA (happy-ever-after) or HFN (happy-for-now) ending. My erotica always ends up happily, but may not finish with characters in a traditional relationship.
A great place to start is “Xander Shows Me My Prostate” which, though the title might sound like you’re getting spice above all, is actually an erotic romance. It’s one of my most popular stories of recent years, and has some of my favorite characters.
If you’re looking for a romance, “Same Old Bobby” and “You Can Look” make solid starting points. While both spicy (spoiler: that’s pretty much the case with all of my writing), there’s also that all-important HFN ending that romance readers love.
“Farmed Out” and “College Wrestler Secrets” are the place to start if you want heat above all else. That’s not to say there aren’t hints of romance, but they’re definitely not the focus. “Seven Days To Squirm” leans into the world of toys for those who enjoy that scene; it’s a long one, but fun.
